Our vacuum-sealed tin of sliced Prosciutto Prolongo has a shelf life of one year and should be kept in the refrigerator. Once open, tinned prosciutto, like the fresh-sliced product, should be eaten within about four days.
For best results, open with a tin opener, lay the accordion-folded product out flat, remove the first plastic film and wait for a few minutes before consuming. This makes the slices easier to detach.
